Reference: Cherry Darling

This is a great example of a how a low poly model with great textures can used to capture the likeness of a film character. Check the source for more.

  1. How do Tom Tallian and this artist model their characters with triangles instead of constantly extruding mesh squares(I'm not sure what it's called)? But I would like to learn this style to cut down on polys and save time.

    1. Hey K Escoe, sorry for such a late response. If you haven't figured out a way by now, you can create triangles by selecting any 3 vertices and hitting the F key in Blender. That should create a triangle polygon for you. You can't extrude triangles, so this will require some deleting, or adding, of vertices on your end in order to get the triangles you need.
